TrackAER: real-time event-based quantitative flow visualization

چکیده

Abstract We present a novel event-based quantitative flow visualization system, TrackAER, capable of continuously reconstructing, rendering and recording particle tracks in large test volumes without limitations on the measurement duration. Multiple cameras are synchronized calibrated to produce independent asynchronous, yet temporally co-registered data streams tracer positions. Subsequently, these merged into time-resolved three-dimensional using photogrammetric techniques. Due operating principle event cameras, scenery is reduced moving objects only, which effectively compresses stream at camera source. In combination with an efficient processing pipeline, system operates real-time, reconstructing investigated field noticeable time lag. The approach follows “per-event” paradigm enables immediate observation analysis both, transient long duration features. Specific issues resulting from event-based, frame-free discussed as well advantages cameras. Exemplary results provided demonstrate utility TrackAER where Lagrangian track information displayed virtual scene together extracted such local velocities.

Real-time Line-based Flow Visualization

We present in this paper a method that uses densely distributed streamlines to achieve real-time 2D flow visualization with better visual quality than produced by texturebased methods. We call the method a line-based flow visualization (LBFV) method because it uses a dense set of line segments as basic rendering primitives. Streamlines are commonly used for flow visualization, and they provide ...

Real-time quantitative visualization of 3D structural information

We demonstrate a novel approach for the real time visualization and quantification of the 3D spatial frequencies in an image domain. Our approach is based on the spectral encoding of spatial frequency principle and permits the formation of an image as a color map in which spatially separated spectral wavelengths correspond to the dominant 3D spatial frequencies of the object. We demonstrate tha...

Point-Based Impostors for Real-Time Visualization

We present a new data structure for encoding the appearance of a geometric model as seen from a viewing region (view cell). This representation can be used in interactive or real-time visualization applications to replace a complex model by an impostor, maintaining high quality rendering while cutting down rendering time. Our approach relies on an object-space sampled representation similar to ...

An FPGA-Based Real-Time Event Sampler

This paper presents the design and FPGA-implementation of a sampler that is suited for sampling real-time events in embedded systems. Such sampling is useful, for example, to test whether real-time events are handled in time on such systems. By designing and implementing the sampler as a logic analyzer on an FPGA, several design parameters can be explored and easily modified to match the behavi...

Event-Based Real-Time Decomposed Conformance Analysis

Process mining deals with the extraction of knowledge from event logs. One important task within this research eld is denoted as conformance checking, which aims to diagnose deviations and discrepancies between modeled behavior and real-life, observed behavior. Conformance checking techniques still face some challenges, among which scalability, timeliness and traceability issues. In this paper,...
